Harav Schwei was elected by the kohol to be a chaver in the Badatz by a record amount of votes. Certain individual in the Va'ad Hakashrus see him as a threat to their illegal crooked and underworld activities with which they run the Kashrus. They have already succeeded in creating an atmosphere where the Rabbonim are afraid of them and fear reprisals if they signal that the Badatz has to be independently run. They don't let Rabbi schwei become a full fledged member in the Kashrus because their corruption would be exposed. That's why Rabbi Schwei demanded that the Kashrus be returned to the Baalus of the kohol before he even puts a finger to it. Rabbi Schwei saw what they did to the Rabbonim in the Badatz, he did not want to suffer the same fate .

The din torah Rabbi Schwei refers to was at the behest of both parties. The psak was that the hechsher and the kashrus categorically belongs to the Va'ad Hakol who represent the kohol. When the party that lost the din torah, those who are now holding on to the kashrus sheloi kedin saw that they lost their personal kitty, they got those rabbonim to back down from their psak with threats and criminal tactics.

Horav Osdoba wrote a leter to the Community basically affirming What Horav Shvei in his letter says that this Hechsher is a private Hechsher and not a Hechsher that can be called under the supervision of the Badatz. He states that this is under HIS supervision and HIS control while at the same time he viciously attacks those people that spread rumours that this Hechsher is not of the Badatz but just a private one. To me a simple layman it seems to be a contradiction. By protesting their claim and affirming the same thing simultaneously. Since these so called evil rumours were sent out by the Vaad Hakohol and Horav Shvei , Id like to know who exactly is Horav Osdoba condemning. Is he refering to the Vaad Hakohol or is Horav Shvei also included in the evil group. I found this rather disturbing as I am not used to seeing such language emanate from Horav Osdoba and especially attacking another Rov. I therefore must conclude in defense of Horav Osdoba that this must a letter written up by Yossi Brook and he was told to just sign on the dotted line. Unfortunately that is the best Limud Zechus I can find. Hopefully the Vaad Hakohol and the Netzigim and all the other influential members of the Crown Heights Community will prevail on Horav Osdoba to disassociate himself from Yossi Brook so as not to cause further embarassement to himself and the rest of the Beis Din and hopefully the Kovod of the Beis Din will be restored to the highest level possible which it truly deserves.

הועד הישן לא היו חזקים, ויוסי ברוק עשה מה שהוא רוצה.

I cannot believe that the letter was written by a Rav, it is full og gutter langauge, venom and vitriolic remarks. I don't think in the history of Lubavitcher Rabbonim was there ever a letter the likes of this one penned by a legitimate and upstanding Rav. Which brings me to conclude that either the Rav just "lent" his signature to the letter without first reading it or he did not sign it. One thing is certain, its signon and content are not befitting a Rav, and after seeing numerous letters from the Rabbonei Hashechuna, and being familiar with their way of writing, I can practically swear that this letter was not written by any of the Rabbonim. It has the markings of those individuals who surround the Rabbonim, the ones responsible for the whole mess, the ones who where mashpil and mevazeh kvod harrabonim from the onset, THE VAA'D HAKASHRUS.

before you make assumptions about who wrote that letter, I suggest you investigate the protocol used by The Badatz to write letters. It is widely known that letters signed by the Rabbonim where retracted based on the premise that it was either a mazkir or some other person who either wrote that letter in the name of the Badatz without clearing it with them or as you state the Rabbonim just signed on the dotted line without checking it for accuracy. In my opinion the letter is a pashkville and I don't believe the Rabbonim author pashkvillen.

If in fact the letter was penned by the signatory, I advise that party to research Hilchos shmiras haloshon and investigate if there is a tikun for what that letter brought about or it is begeder m'uvois lo yochol liskoin. In any event, ah shod az dee papeer eez tzoo deek.

I came across the five page letter on the letterhead of the Badatz and the hair stood on the back of my neck. I was shellshocked. It is full of mesirah, loshon horah and rechilus. In case there were people who were'nt aware of the details of the machloikes, the Badatz made sure of putting everyone it the loop. It reads like an obscene article from a tabloid. The letter complains about the gossip people are spreading around the Rabbonim in the neighborhood when this letter takes the cake for spreading gossip. We have no place for such behavior in our community. to mention personal matters about people is the epitome of wickedness, evil and meaness. This is not leadership. This is leading people astray. The author of this letter owes those people a public apology before they will respond and then it's over

The five page letter had the exact opposit effect that it was intended to accomplish. They were megalleh kloinum berabim. By stooping so low they showed the public what they are really made of.
