שערורייה: הבריון ברנס מסתובב ב-770

ועד הקהל קראון הייטס

הרוחות סוערות, אבל כלום לא נעשה. תושבים בשכונה החב"דית קראון-הייטס בניו-יורק מדווחים בזעם כי כבר מספר ימים שהבריון מאיר ברנס מסתובב ברחובות השכונה, וחמור מכך, בבית-הכנסת של מרכז חב"ד העולמי – 770. כפי שזכור, ברנס ניסה בשעתו לרצוח את הרב לוי ביסטריצקי ע"ה, רבה של צפת וחבר בית-דין רבני חב"ד בישראל, ונשלח על-ידי בית-משפט מחוזי למאסר. הרב ע"ה הוציא נגד ברנס מכתב נידוי, זאת לאחר שהלה לא הסכים להפסיק בהפצת בראש כל חוצות פרסומים שיש בהן דין עבודה-זרה ודברי מינות. בתגובה, ברנס ארב לרב ביסטריצקי והיכה אותו עד זוב דם. לאחר תקופה, ברנס דהר עם רכבו ודרס את הרב בסטריצקי מתוך כוונה להרוג. כתוצאה מהדריסה נפצע הרב. כל הגורמים בחב"ד התרחקו מאדם זה, והיו אף שטענו כי מדובר ב"סוכן מושתל" שמטרתו להשחיר את פניה של תנועת חב"ד בישראל. כעת, ככל שזה יישמע מופרך, ברנס נכנס ויוצא מ-770 באין מפריע. בחורים מספרים ל-COL כי גודל החוצפה עולה עד לשמים, כאשר לאחר כל תפילה ב-770 ברנס נוהג לחזור על מעשי הטירוף שלו, בהכרזה לאזני כולם "הנה אלוקינו זה", תוך הפניית אצבע לבימת התפילה ששימשה את כ"ק אדמו"ר. הבריון דווקא מוצא סביבו קבוצת מצומצמת של בחורים תמהונים שמהווים עבורו אוזן קשבת, ו"מתוועדים" עימו בבית-המדרש. מכל הגורמים שטוענים לבעלות על הנעשה ב-770, לא נעשה דבר כדי לעצור את הבזיון האיום. ה'גבאים' אומרים שהם "מסירים מכך כל אחריות", ומפנים את הנושא לרבני השכונה. ואלה, כך נטען, טוענים שטיפול בעניין שייך לאנשי ועד הקהל דקראון-הייטס. אולם מעשה של ממש לא נעשתה עד-כה. כתב COL מעדכן כי לאחר תפילת ערבית אמש (שני) ב-770 נכנסו אנשי ה'שמירה' והוציאו את ברנס מבית הכנסת בכוח.

Baranes fellow, Rabbi Y. Wilcshansky and rabbi Ofir Maydovnik are the ones that eduate and Farbreng with the Tzfat Bocurim.

צמצום כפשוטו.

אני נמצא ב-770 יום יום - ושום קבוצה מצומצמת לא מסתובבת סביב הרוצח.

כל, אבל כל חביריו מקבוצת צפת (המצומצמת) מסתובבים איתו, לא מוחים על מעשיו, ואף מחכים אחר התפילה להכרזתו "הנה אלוקנו זה" (אגב, הוא אומר את זה עם ה"א), ולא מתחילים בשירת ה'יחי' כמנהגם עד שזה יסיים.

איפה יוסי ואינגי בסטריצקי ?

Is there indeed a reason for this website that officialy is to promote ahavas yisroel, to expose the ugly side f us? perhaps this man has repented...? ths is tota not te way of chaba to bring about more sinas chinam... i don't think that is the way the rebbe, zy'a zt'l a'h intended that we could ring about the geulah. may we be zoiche to see the coming of moshiach soon enough and then see also the rebbe zy'a, zt'l a'h

ביום שני בלילה לאחר תפילת מעריב מיד שהתחיל להכריז את דברי הכפירה, התנפלו עליו כמה מהבחורים וגררו אותו אל מחוץ ל-770
הקלה זמנית הורגשה לאחר ארוע זה.

Baranes that ruthless ------- should be put back in jail

IFrom the fact that he still screams his kfirah, it displays that he has not repented, it shows that he has increased his kfirah in such a way that in the REBBES shul he should scream kfirah without anyone being moiche.

I think yudel krinsky should go to court and put a restrainig order on baranes that he may not come near the building being that he is a threat to the public, for attempted murder and indorect murder of rabbi bistritsky!

We have with us the most unwelcome of guests. The infamous Meir Baranes has come to Crown Heights. For those who may not be familiar with this villain, here is his story in brief.

Rabbi Levi Bistritzky who was the Chief Rabbi of Tzfas and The Upper Galilee as well as one of the elders of the Chabad community of Tzfas was an outspoken critic of Baranes due to his incessant and heretical campaign to indoctrinate the world that the Rebbe is g-d, RL.

Baranes threatened Rabbi Bistritzky in shul numerous times and called his house at all hours of the night frightening his family to no end.
He made it no secret of his intention to kill Rabbi Bistritzky. In 1999, on Simchas Torah night Baranes ambushed Rabbi Bistritzky as he left his apartment. The hulking brute, who is a former Special Forces soldier in the IDF, beat Rabbi Bistritzky for a solid 10 minutes. Even after knocking him unconscious the blows continued to rain. So badly was the Rabbi beaten that he had to be hospitalized for several days.
But this cruel beating did not satisfy this dogs lust for blood.

That year on Motzaei Shabbos Chol HaMoed Pesach, Baranes caught sight of the Rabbi getting into his car with his wife. With murderous fury Baranes gunned his engine and plowed his car directly into Rabbi Bistritzky as his horrified wife watched helplessly. Rabbi Bistritzky never fully recovered. After an extensive stay in the intensive care ward he was forced on to go through serious physical therapy just to get out of bed. He spent most of that time confined to a wheelchair.
However more serious then his physical damage was his psychological and emotional condition.

Because of these horrendous events Rabbi Bistritzky became diagnosed with a serious heart condition. Less then two years after he was run over he heard the news that his wife and some of his children were in a car accident. He feared the worse and he had a massive heart attack.
His wife and children escaped from the accident Boruch Hashem with scrapes and bruises, Rabbi Bistristky was not so lucky, he died a few days after the heart attack.

The direct contribution of Baranes to Rabbi Bistritzkys death is IRREFUATBLE!! This monster has robbed two loving parents of their son, a husband from his wife, a father from children and a zaideh from his grandchildren. My friends we cannot allow ourselves to look the other way as this demented creature makes himself at home in our community.
We are obligated to show him how unwanted he is here.
The point of this letter is not to discuss whether or not Baranes was in the shin bet, or whether the community of Tzfas did enough to protect him. We have a very clear lesson from the Torah that we are not permitted to stand on our brothers blood. The blood of Rabbi Levi Bistritzky calls out to us! It is unfathomable that this worm stands in the same shul we daven in. We must show him in the fiercest fashion that we detest his putrid presence among us.

It should be clear that this letter is not a call to act violently to him. The reason for this is not that he is undeserving of the most vicious beating; on the contrary it is questionable if there is a beating that can equalize a fraction of the torment he put and continues to put so many others through. Rather extreme caution should be taken when near this lunatic because as mentioned before, he is an animal of great size and strength. Still, we must drive him away from Crown Heights vocally in every way shape and form. Make sure this is done in a crowded place to ensure your safety.

Please, please, do not make light of this matter. Imagine for a moment that some despicable maggot did this to your own father Chas v'sholem?! Would you allow such a killer to make himself at home?!?!
No sane person would. Let us come together and show this murderous bastard that we will not tolerate even for a moment his vile presence in our shul, community, and city or for that matter these great shores of the United States of America.

If you had one ounce of ahavat yisroel you would let a murderer come in... If he killed your father would you talk that way..??

Where is a letter from our dear rabbonim to expel him. He is an oved avodah zora.
Why are they busy with pety things like mezonos mavin which have absolutely no truth to them.

IIt' s people like #4 who are the real danger. Baranus is crackpot, villain -- there are plenty of those. But if not for people like #4, people like Bar-anus would have never been accepted and perhaps Rabbi Bistritsky would still be alive, and the immeasurable destruction to the Rebbe's work would have been prevented.

I don't put the blame on Baranus, I put the blame on thoes who "sympathize" in the name of "love." As long as we have ppl like that around we will have many Bar-anuses

Im sorry most of you have not been in Tfas and dont know what goes on there on an average Shabbos, Wilshansky is behind the whole Kefira, he acts like someone we know RL that says one thing to the media(public) and one thingt to his own people! that is what i saw with my own eyes! you will not believe it! what you think Baranus gets these ideas from? himslef? the anmail is not smart enough! there are people behind it! we have to go after the base of it all and ROOT THEM out of 770 for once and for all to make our machne yisroel clean! the cilul Hashem that the world is seeing you is only because of a very small and minute smell, we can do it!

A. I am no meshiachist, I think it is ludicrous if any lubavitcher believes that the Rebbe, ztk"l could be mashiach. Any sane chosid knows that...

You call yourself a Shliach but dont deserve the title. By attacking Horav Wilshanski with such hatred you are showing your true colors. I who consider myself a Meshichist and who says Yechi fully agree with those condemning Baranes. He is a murderer, a dangerous person and definitely does not belong anywhere near 770 or any Chabad house anywhere. The man is a total disgrace to yidishkeit in general. Having said that. I want to make it clear that this issue has nothing to do with meshichisim or anti meshichisim. Those that are trying to scapegoat Meshichistin for such violence are guilty of sinas Chinom We must all unite in condemning the likes of Baranes in our midst without politics. I understand that Mr. Baranes is no innocent man. In fact, like most people seeking justice, I find it uncomfortable that this man has the freedom to walk around. Why is he not in jail? (If all the allegations against him are true)
All this does not justify the hatred of certain individuals who like to ‘explain’ the problem of Mr. Baranes. #20 blamed Rabbi Wilshansky for it. He said that he witnessed a Shabbos in Tzfat and saw the incitement of Rabbis Wilshansky and Maydovnik.
As an Australian bochur currently learning in Safed, who’s views on the Mashiach issue are quite neutral (suprising for a ‘Tzfati’?), I find the words of the above-mentioned totally out of touch.
While there are extremists in every sect, you must respect the opinion of everybody, so long as they remain in the line of Torah and don’t intrude into other’s space.
Rabbi Wilshansky has never said, or even hinted, that the Rebbe is G-d (Chas Veshalom).
He has however said many ‘extreme’ comments which he READS directly from a sicha. The same is true with Rabbi Maydovnik and all the Rabbonim in the Yeshivah.
Rabbi Wilshansky is against any use of violence from his students, even if they are attacked first. I have heard him warn the yeshivah not to interfere with opponents when they do mivtzoim.
Tolerance is what he preaches and tolerance is what he lives.
Mr. Baranes, on the other hand, preaches kfirus and uses violence to impose his views on other people.
Rabbi Wilshansky acts with respect to rabbinical leaders and Jewish figures, while Mr. Baranes acts with insolence toward our rabbis and teachers.
Just as we must not stand quiet as Mr. Baranes is allowed to enter the shule, so too we must not remain quiet as people attempt to blacken the name of harmless, G-d-fearing, humble rabbis.
