Rabbi Binyomin Klein, mazkir of the Rebbe, led the Chicago Anash Farbrengen on Thursday night, or Hey Teves. Hosted by Congregation Bnei Ruven and sponsored by Lubavitch Chabad of Illinois Rabbi Klein held the three hundred assembled men and women spellbound as he related miracles and mofsim from his four decades of service to the Rebbe.

Dr. Ira Weiss, the Rebbe’s personal physician, was a special guest speaker as well. Dr. Weiss recalled his role in the Hey Teves story, testifying on behalf of Agudas Chassidei Chabad assuring that the Rebbe would not be deposed. After the formal program Rabbi Klein stayed to farbreng. The tables were pushed together and the remaining men huddled together as Rabbi Klein shared stories that only he was privy to. Dr. Weiss and Rabbi Klein shared some memories of the Hey Teves saga and welcomed the crowd into their special relationship with the Rebbe and Rebbetzin.
