Let it be known, that Chabad of Toronto has officially boycotted the event!

Only Rabbi Schochet will attend the event as head of the Vaad Horabonim.

I am a member of Chabad of Toronto, and I spoke to many people. Chabad of Toronto has not boycotted the event. and if Rabbi G. and Rabbi S. feel that Chabad should boycott the event as a "nekama" because Agudah did not rent out their hall for the Siyum Harambam then these people lack any iota of Sechel and competence in the understanding of human beings.

How will it look in the public eye when you have TWENTY! yes twenty Lubavitch Rabbonim and Shluchim on the dias!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine the impact on the Frum community at large!!! and instead you want to create a publice scene that Lubavitch boycotted the event because of some baby/childish revenge that NOONE in the community knows about???!!! Don't you realise how silly you are?

TWENTY LUBVITCH SHLUCHIM AND RABBONIM ON STAGE CAN MAKE INROADS IN THE CHAREDI COMMUNITY IN TORONTO MORE THAN TEN YEARS OF OTHER KIND OF HAFATZA!

Who exactly is Chabad of Toronto, and who exactly do they represent?

As far as I know Rabbi Grossbaum was sent by Tzach to do hafatza (i.e. put tefillin on people, put up mezuzot and kasher kitchens). Rabbi Gansburg gives shiurim to people. and Rabbi Spalter, well, he is an administrator of the building. He makes sure there is hot water in the building. He tells Igor how to clean the floors. He makes sure the siddurim are in place.

Are these the people that can come out with a decleration in the name of Chabad of Toronto???!!!

Have the Lubavitch Rabbonim of Toronto come out (G-d forbid) against the Siyum? the answer is a resounding NO!

As a member of anash of Toronto I did not hear or see anyhing about a boycott .and
I myself went to the event in Toronto.

Why did they boycott it?

The Rebbe recognized Rabbi Grossbaum Birabim as the head Shliach when a doctor who was part of Machne Israel Development Fund asked the Rebbe for advise. he was told to consult the head shliach
Being that Rabbi Z. brought him, he asked the Rebbe if he should ask Rabbi Z. The Rebbe said "No the head Shliach"
to which he asked: Rabbi Grossbaum? and the Rebbe answered affirmatively.

As for Rabbi Gansburg, he was appointed as the educational director of Chabad Lubavitch of Ontario, and even though Rabbi Spalter's title is administrator, he coordinates numerous activities, is the editor of the world of Lubavitch, and the producer of Messages a show viewed by 1000s weekly.
So you should get your facts straight before you publicize them.

As for the event itself, after hearing lots of comments, I can only say that it was a true kiddush Lubavitch made by the Shliach who spoke on behalf of Rabbi Schochet.

As to the negative comments regarding Rabbi Grossbaum, Rabbi Gansburg and Rabbi , Spalter, I as a member of Anash of Toronto, feel that they are unnecessary and inaccurate. All of the above mentioned work hard doing what they need to do. We have many more concerns regarding the educational institutions of the city,which are supposedly run by shluchim who don't deserve that title!!
